That in or about the mönta

1899, you, then being clerk in the Land Office, received

a Chinese, Lease of land in the New Territory, at Ngati Shi Wat, from one Lau Tak Klaw and that you procured to be made a translation thereof by your son J. M. Yong and afterwards or caused to be prepared on or about the 81st, November 1899, you prepared,a Memo- rial of the said Lease and procured the registration of such Memorial which was verified by the oath of your son Joseph Mowlas Worg,, and was registered in the Land Office as Memorial No P6444,- and that you received from the said Iau Tak Kim for the services of yourself and your son the sum of $30, whereas the only fees properly payable for the registration.of the above" Memorial in the Land Office

amounted to $5, and the stamp duty was oily.

And also that, in or about the month

of March, 1900, you received from one Li Yung a sum of $30.- 50 for procuring the registration of the Memorial Noë7571 of an assignment of land ati Ngati Tati Kok and for making or procuring to be made a translation of such assignment and a Memorial of such assignant which Memorial was swory. to be your son Joseph Mowlam Wong.

And also that, in or about the month

of December, 1899, you received from one Li Ah' Sang' a sim of $60 for procuring the registration of the Memorials Nos. 20580 and 26590 of assignments of land at Poh Peng and for making or procuring to be made translations of Memorials/or such assignments and

such assignments which

Memorial were respectively swarn ta by your son Joseph

Mowlan Wong.

That on or about the 19th April, 1900, you then being clerk in the Land Office tore down or deÏsend with- out lawful authority a matice posted at Ping Chan Island by the Krong To Tong and relating to certain land claimB

in that Island.
